Greetham Valley offers lakes with coarse, trout and salmon fishing all on one site.
Free coarse and trout fishing is available to our Hotel, Lodge and Cottage guests only, on the owners’ private lakes. Meg’s Lake is stocked with carp, perch, tench, bream, roach and rudd, up to 10lb. All catch and release, no keepnets please. Katie’s Lake is stocked with triploid rainbow and brown trout and carp and fish up to 12lb have been caught. Please bring your own equipment.
Britain’s only inland lake salmon fishing
Still Water Salmon at Greetham Valley offers Britain’s only dedicated inland lake salmon fishing opportunity. Operated by the very knowledgeable Ben Green, fish up to 30lb have been caught this year by highly delighted fishermen, some of whom have travelled from Scotland, Canada and New Zealand to enjoy the experience! Fishing breaks at Greetham Valley
Greetham Valley is within a few minutes’ drive of the renowned Rutland Water, internationally recognised for quality fishing. Accommodation at Greetham Valley can be fully catered, including packed lunches and thermos coffee, whether you are in our Hotel, Lodges or Cottage. Our chefs are happy to store your caught fish until departure day. The national teams taking part in the Anglia Water Airflo International competition stay at Greetham Valley during the finals at Rutland Water – 2016 dates are 4th and 5th October, with the presentation dinner also being held at Greetham Valley in the Rutland Suite.
