Holiday cottage breaks in Rutland
Tucked away in a hidden valley on the Greetham Valley estate is Mill Cottage, a lovely converted 18th century barn perfect for a cottage holiday break near Rutland Water, comfortably sleeping 5 guests + a baby in three bedrooms – the master bedroom can be king-size or twin bedded, the second bedroom is a spacious twin and the third bedroom is a single.
Our 4* detached holiday cottage has a cosy lounge with a woodburner (logs supplied free) and a separate dining room. The fully equipped kitchen and separate utility room have all the facilities required for a comfortable self-catering holiday break.
Upstairs is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath, wc and wash basin, whilst downstairs is a further wc and a cloakroom. The cottage benefits from oil-fired central heating throughout.
The garden is enclosed and enjoys a lawned area with views towards the salmon lake, orchard trees, garden furniture and gravel standing. North Brook runs through the grounds (shallow, but unfenced – care with young children).
Mill Cottage is a pet friendly holiday cottage – up to two well behaved dogs are welcome to bring their owners to Mill Cottage (additional £25 applies). There are beautiful walks right from the cottage door but do please remember to keep Muttley on a leash! The location of Mill Cottage is a haven for wildlife – deer, badgers, rabbits, foxes and myriads of birds.
