Once again Greetham Valley will be attending the Birdfair at Rutland Water, held Friday 17th – Sunday 19th August 2018.
Each year the Birdfair increases in popularity, with 24,466 visitors attending in 2017 and even more expected in 2018! This year will be the Birdfairs 30th anniversary, so we thought we would offer the visitors something a little special.
Having talked to a lot of visitors over the years we noticed a trend in people attending on the Sunday in order to avoid the larger crowds and many stated that they would love to come to Rutland when all the crowds were gone. A lot of the visitors to Birdfair only came to Rutland for the Birdfair and we want to encourage everyone to stay and discover Rutland.
Why not take advantage of our Birdfair 2018 offer and extend your stay?
We are offering 2 nights Bed and Breakfast in our fabulous hotel for just £99 per room – arriving Sunday 19th August 2018, departing Tuesday 21st August 2018.
Alternatively, we are delighted to offer RSPB and Wildlife Trust members a huge 25% discount off self-catering accommodation tariffs throughout the year! Stay in our lovely Rutland Lodges, situated just a few minutes drive from Rutland Water.
At Greetham Valley we currently have two Bird Hides on site along one of the public footpaths that leads to Fort Henry, just 20 minutes walk from the Lodges. Fort Henry is often described as a smaller, more private Rutland Water – a wildlife haven tucked away on Exton Estate.
Rutland is such a beautiful and unique rural county, we hope to encourage you to come back and visit when all the crowds have gone home!
