Gentlemen! Trevor invites you to Greetham Valley’s Captain’s Dinner

tommy-boothGents’ Captain Trevor Smith invites all Greetham Valley Golf Club gentlemen members and their male guests to the Captain’s Dinner on Friday 8th November.

Trevor has chosen ex England and Manchester City player Tommy Booth as the after dinner speaker. He began his career with Manchester City, turning professional in 1967.

Described as the perfect centre half by none other than Joe Mercer, Tommy Booth was great in the air, had perfect temperament, showed great control with the ball, could get past opponents without losing it, and start an attack with a drilling pass from behind. He was one of Mercer’s favourite players and an invaluable member of the City side that won everything from 1968 to 1976. So let’s hear how he did it, with lots of amusing anecdotes and name dropping alongside – Q and A session afterwards!
